The ice cream flavoured Summer of Colour has started and inspired me to take out my paints and see what rainbow sherbet creations I could come up with. I had hoped these would be complete in time for Paint Party Friday... Alas no. Time slipped away from me again! (Where the heck does it go?)
So here is what I have so far - hopefully by next week I might have finished these and started on Chocolate Mint!
WIP #1
Mostly finished... I think it need some black accents.
WIP #2
I see a bird...
WIP #3
I tot I taw a puddy tat...
Maybe..
What do you see here?
Does this look yummy or what! Perhaps part of the Summer of Colour should be going to Baskin and Robbins and having a scoop of each flavour we work on? Sounds yummy to me!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and Happy Father's Day to all the Dads in your life. I look forward to dropping by when I can and seeing what you have created.
It all looks yummy to me!!!! What happy summer colors. I await the finished paintings! What fun. Thanks for the treat! and HPPF too!

ReplyDeleteoh i know what you mean about time slipping away! but your happy rainbow sherbet creations are looking good!
ReplyDeleteI like looking at colors and finding shapes and images in them too! Something like cloud wtaching! What fun colors!
ReplyDeletetime is flying at the moment... I have made a start on choc mint as well but have no clue where I will find the time to get it done... I like the cat one... and yes I saw a cat straight away... you know your paint kind of looks like you have smushed the ice cream on the paper... cool...xx
ReplyDeleteHi Eva, that looks like lots of fun both to paint and to draw. I know what you mean about time flying by...it's kind of annoying. Happy PPF! :-)

ReplyDeleteYammie! I just saw this colors a few days ago on a canvas and started to buy exactly those colors in acrylic paints..because I don´t have many different colors in acrylics yet....but this have to change..
ReplyDeleteso yammie!

ReplyDeleteRinda
i'm hearing you about time...lol...lovely little pieces...xxx
ReplyDeleteDelicious! These are wonderful summer colors!
ReplyDeleteI am in agreement with you on the time thing - it ran away from me this week too! I love the rainbow sherbet colours they are so vibrant - unlike our actual summer here which is currently more like a day in October!
ReplyDeleteI actually see a parrot of bird of paradise instead of a cat - isn't is funny how each person perceives something!
That is a fun way to paint. :) Lol! I love Twitty. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful YUMMY colors and FUN images too!
ReplyDeleteA little black should make your butterfly really pop. In the last one, I see the head of a teddy bear and a chicken in rubber boots. But maybe that's just me. :)
ReplyDeleteAll your color palettes remind me of sitting with a bowl of that sherbet when I was a kid and letting it begin to melt and swirling the colors around.
ReplyDeleteI see a clown in that third one, he is in profile, with his hat off to the side.
what a neat post Eva ! I love ice cream too at the art show last Sat I was treated to a mint (green color) with Oreos crushed up into it on a waffle cone. from my husband (I only has to ask him twice to get me one) It was so hot out and the ice cream melted fast so I had to practically cram it down like a crazy cave-woman...funny looking I was- I think.
ReplyDelete-KAT-
what fun! Rainbow Sherbet and Superman Ice cream are great colour inspirations - fun pieces!
ReplyDeleteI see a sad faced baby giraffe in the last one :)
ReplyDeleteIt's silly how fast time is going. I know what I want to do for mint choc chip, I did immediately that I saw the colours. Have I had time to start? No.
time is flying for me too, I love your creations, hmm I think I see a dragon.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I love the bird and butterfly and I totally want to eat that ice cream. Yum!
ReplyDeleteGreat post ~ know your inner spirit will do wonders with this excellent background ~ i did see an oriental lady (that is my perception) ~ play and have fun! ~thanks, enjoy the weekend ^_^ ~ A Creative Harbor
