Sunday Sketching 21Sept2010 The Sea Awaits

Here is my little effort for Sunday Sketching with Sophia at Blue Chair Diary.

As always, my scanner in't great with pencil and I don't press hard enough but double clicking on the image makes it a bit clearer!

I just got my Sketchbook for the Sketchbook Project this week. Are all you Sunday Sketchers participating?

  1. Hello Eva,

I have the same problem with my sketches. I don't want to press so hard that it shows when I add color. Sometimes I can take a photo and edit it to make the lines darker....

Sweet sketch, holds a wonderful summery feeling of the beach.

  2. Hi Eva,

She looks ready to take on the sea! Great job on her legs and arms, both of which are difficult for me!

Smiles and have a wonderful day!

  3. Eva, thanks for stopping by. I love this sketch, very well done. I have not tried a person from the back yet, for some reason it seems intimidating. Looking forward to seeing your sketchbook.

  9. Congrats on exploring and stretching yourself! Your sea girl is lovely. I wouldn't dare to try sketching--I'm not good with a pencil at all. Thanks for your kind words on my blog. Have a wonderfully creative week.

  12. It's so great to see you back! :) Love your little sketch. I think I need to take a trip to the ocean and get lost in the waves and wind for awhile!

  13. Is the sea cold I wonder? Are there seals and dolphins peeking their heads out of the water to watch for her arrival ahead of their play? Love the anticipation of this. Yes, I'm sketchbooking too - though I haven't got very far yet!
